Hi all,
I really like charming old cottages/federation style frontage. Eg bull nose veranda, filigree etc. But I'd like a modern interior good use of modern building principles, sustainability, use of light etc and I need to go it on a very small budget. I met with one architect yesterday who seems to prefer super modern, skillion roof etc. His first reaction was that interior and exterior should work together/blend- which I agree with but I think it could work. We can't go with a basic off the plan display type home because of our odd shaped block. The architect had good ideas and sensible prices, so I'm prepared to give him a go even though what we want is different to his usual style. Can anyone show many any examples/photo/ ideas that tastefully blend old world charm and modern elements?
Thanks
J
