Comments (14)Every year at Christmas I give my father, who has dementia, a hand made calendar. It has lots photos of the family and big visual cues of daily reminders - what he needs to do, times and places he needs to go. I add to it or change it as I need to throughout the year. Tradition, and a bit of a laugh for both of us, is to hand it on the old carving platter (with spikes to hold the roast) that's all rusty. I'm often gobsmacked at what people can do. And it's great to see the process in pictures. I do spend a lot more time looking at others creations the actually doing something myself! One of the traps of everything shared online. I do love seeing the creations that didn't go as planned too! So funny. It's great that people have the sense of humour to still share their "failures".
