Comments (14)I can't quite follow what you mean by 'we must keep the red roof' ? Are you not painting it , or repainting in the same colour , or would you consider a different shade ? Personally , with the White Duck , I'd go for a bolder red roof , with black or charoal gutterings , stay with the crisp white windows and veranda uprights , and the end detailing on the roof , but the window sills I'd do the same red shade as the roof , and the deck a mid grey . Oh , and also , although its cliche'd , I'd do a 1 metre tall white picket fence and double gates in the crisp white , get rid of the wire mesh haha , so everything about the house and fence looks crisp and themed , but also 'period' ....See MorePaint colour advice for period house exterior please
Comments (5)Thank you Dreamer for your comments. Good suggestion about the down pipe - hadn’t noticed that option. This site is so good for seeing things with fresh eyes. Attached a couple more photos to give an idea of the area. Looks a bit of a mess due to the renovations....See MoreDining table colour advice
Comments (4)Lets start at the start -- you say it is a small place , and you have the worlds second largest dining table haha ! Plus I can see approx where the kitcvhen is , but it looks like cupboards and a sink and a dishwasher and appliances along the other side of the dining room ? Anyway , back to the question -- I actually think the table and that curved top mirror are the 2 'stars' -- the chairs look comfy , but oldfashioned and dated ; the rest looks like black and white and glossy and boring . I reckon pick a favourite colour , and do the chairs ( or buy new ones ) and a few features in the kitchen and maybe pottery or vases on the left etc , in that strong blue or red or yellow or green ort whatever you've picked ....See MoreStairway colour advice
Comments (11)You have interesting stairs. With the window you get natural light, which is wonderful. When people walk in to your home, I would say they naturally would look up into the void. I assume your looking at Hamptons inspired stairs. Similar to the attached photo. But would it really look as good as the photo, or be too busy with the black rails and post tops?? Only you can know that. Is the remainder of the home hamptons or more contemporary. I would be removing the gates and looking at it properly....See Moretom_forbes98
