Samantha Hammer, very excited for you getting a new kitchen! I waited 14 years to finally get my new kitchen and am in love with it... the kitchen we had before didn’t function at all and was all brown with salmon pink benchtops and very enclosed and depressing! We knocked down a wall and totally redesigned the entire layout. (the first two kitchen places I had out to give me a quote totally mocked my design and told me I had to stick to the layout I had. The third place built the kitchen to exactly the plans and measurement that I drew up myself and I am so glad I stuck to my guns and persisted until I found a kitchen place that listened to me!) Now we have a kitchen that is bright and open and I love! Stick to your guns when it comes to your new kitchen and go with what you want and what you believe works best for you! :)

we've previously used mosaic tiles for their slip resistance and faced with a similar dilemma for bathrooms in a new house we chose small rectangular and square swimming pool tiles that have a marble look but at a fraction of the prices...the tiles are individually quite smooth but the small size give better grip for bare feet on wet surfaces and they have been a great success...btw water splashes outside the shower so consider the same tiles for the whole floor and check the shower grates that help direct water towards the back of the shower or threshold between main floor and shower space

subject to precise location of windows my suggestion has the ens and bathroom with their own windows for daylight and ventilation but you'll need to post a close up view of the old bathroom, master bedroom and downstairs workshop and garage with all measurements to work out the new laundry with potential laundry chute..the two new bathrooms appear reasonable but i'd expect to spend at least $20,000 to $30,000 or more depending on new fixtures and finishes.. careful salvage and recycling of old vanity, taps, bath etc might be worthwhile but sometimes the cost of the extra labour is more than buying new and converting the laundry to an extra bathrooom and replacing tiles in the old bathroom won't be that much cheaper and the ens is the best improvement and would improve comfort for the whole family as well as potential resale value
