Replacing flooring

Ka ren
Hello Houzzers, this is my first post (pls be kind!) :) I'm in the market to buy an established home, but am very often put off by the flooring. It's very often carpets (uurgh) or ugly tiles.

Could I get some general advice please about how to estimate how much it would cost to replace carpet and or tiles with floorboards? Would I have to rip out existing flooring? For say a 3bedroom house of around 150sqm. My current place has solid pine floors and I love it but for my next place, I'd love one of the whitewashed Scandinavian-looking floors - pic of dream floors attached.

Also confused about the types of available floorboards - am I right that the options are solid wood, engineered wood, and floating floors (ie laminate)? Or is there more?? I'm not keen on wood-look tiles or vinyl.

I'm not handy with DIY so would need a tradie to handle all of the work, if that makes a difference to the options.

All advice appreciated! :)
