The grey streaky tones In the board will probably tie in everything else. You could then put a terrarium on top of the marble board!

You need to consider if you have a gas or electric cooktop. Zenolite can be applied behind a direct heat source with an allowance of 50mm between the rear edge of the cooktop and the face of the Zenolite for all electric induction cooktops. For gas cooktops, there must be a 200mm space. If you are using an electric cooktop then consider the extra expense for Zenolite Hard Coat which is more resistant to scratching, and check how this product pricing compares with glass. gloss finish splashbacks will show every tiny splash ... much prefer the matching splashback and counter in the matte finish and look forward to seeing some photos of the finished kitchen, sounds gorgeous
