Hi Andrew At Bodo, our motto for exterior colour schemes is Keep It Simple! with a maximum of 3 colours, including your roof, windows etc. If you break this rule, the colour scheme becomes complicated and fussy, and may make your house appear smaller, as introducing differing colour in differing sections, confuses the eye line. I really like colorbonds wallaby... they have some contrasting colours listed below... this might give a dark enough look without being too dark. however would you consider changing roof and trims first and then see how you feel about the brickwork? It might be all you need to do for an updated look. I'd maybe do roof and gutters same colour and then down pipes in a colour similar to bricks so not to stand out..., garage doors maybe the woodland grey?

I look at the big picture , and something doesn't quite 'click' -- clean the bricks ( might need chemicals ? ) , do the windows in crisp white , and it won't look TOO bad , but then the rest looks dated . The 2 blues are so 1980's . The garage door looks okay , but needs crisp white surrounds . But then the rest gets weird -- the triangular eve on the garage , in wood and in steel blue , whilst the other eve isn't triangular , isn't blue , and isn't timber -- its the same brick as below ! Repaint -- maybe the lighter blues in a light to mid grey ; the rest in charoal . But all in timber ( as you'd never be able to do that brick above the garage ) . Better ?
