Thanks guys for all your input. I am loving that Emily Henderson room and that contemporary/mid modern century room! I am after a light and bright space and I do love the greige trend - just not sure how I can do this considering all the beige tile and cabinetry in the kitchen. Can I transition from cool undetone to warm in an adjoining room?

Can't decide on colour of new lounge suite? Graphite/charcoal or creamy/white? I'm worried the dark colour draws your eyes to the lounge suite and makes the room look dark and heavy? What do you think?

I think any colour rug would suit your lounge, you can be bold with colours or you can be soft with colours depending on your personality. As for a coffee table I wouldn't go bulky something streamline perhaps in a metal even a light colour timber. Have a bit of fun with mixing and matching.
