I'm no expert, but it looks like a mediocre job to me. That corner in the first photo is very uneven, and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be properly squared up. Don't understand the tiny bit of tile on the bottom of the shower either. I'd be having a word with the builder, if it were me.

I presume you are in Australia, I am a professional painter and decorator and worked within the building industry both on residential and commercial projects for over 35 years. This tiling looks of extremely poor quality. Your builder is responsible for all trades he contracts to complete your home and therefore you need to submit in writing your complaint and any issues you have as soon as possible. With the tiling underway you must be getting close to completion it is always harder to get problems rectified at the end. If your builder doesn't want to comply get onto your states Master Builders Association and licensing board they will pursue any shoddy workmanship complaints. I wouldn't be authorizing any further progress payments unless satisfactory rectification is agreed to, in writing.

A happy customer is your best advertising, an unhappy customer your worst.

Maybe your builder needs reminding. Good luck hope all goes well.

Just another thought for you to check on....was the water proofing done before any of the tile laying was done? Also make sure silicon is done around all the edges at the end of the re laying of the tiles. It is law that waterproofing be done and in some Australian states it must be done by a specialist in the field who is licensed. I also think the grout colour does nothing for the look. It would appear to me the the tiler has started laying wall tiles from the top and that has caused the thin slice of tiles at the bottom, the wall tiles should have been layed around the bottom first thus avoiding the thin slice. Oh my goodness I hope you end up with a much better job than this, I hate seeing people being taken down in the building industry.

they should be laying tiles from bottom up..my tiler would lay them on the garage floor to measure then he'd cut the bottom tiles so he gets full tiles on top..

I'd make them take it off and start again with another tiler.

If they do take the tiles off, make sure they rectify the waterproofing underneath, or you'll have problems down the line.

Oh dear. Just saw this now. Looks like our job done by some tiler from the grey army. Who then tried to tell us that our house/walls are at fault. Still annoying 9 years on even though we had him fix it. Hope this worked out for you!

New to this site too...just posted on the Uk site with a sim problem to someone else then noticed this site. Need advice on backsplash tile job. Had new kitchen installed and have had tiler install multi mini hex tile in different finishes stone, marble, glass etc. Most glass tiles have been cut leaving shattered edge which is showing above the silicon. Also he has placed silver cheap flat edge ( not angle) to the finished tile and I painted it to match the wall colour. Looks terrible and never wanted the metal edge anyway. Thought the wall colour match would look better than silver. Have paid for half the job $500 other $500 to be paid. Tiles for 2 and half metres $1000 so not cheap. So need advice on recutting glass tiles bearing in mind butting up to $6000 bench top! Edge for raw tile and in some cases uneven tile cuts as well without using metal strips and changing seamless look of the tile. Don't understand why tilers are even using this as it looks terrible I think. Hope someone out there can help. Thanks Myra

but I am person who like to see everything constantly , neat and into detail

the below showers tiles alignments are not matching to the floor tile alignment . Is it something I should be worried ??

The last photos is a sample of a display and their selling point is what you see is what you get and as a customer I would expect the recieve something nice and neat as what you show us

Yesterday I check the tiles on the wall . They have match the shower to tiles alignment to the wall , but shower to rest of the floor area there is inconsistency

Can I then ask them to re do the job?

Supervisor mentioned to me the tiles are various sizing and ther can be few mm here and their differnt and when it adds up the line can go out of proportion

and also said we have to do a special request of the lines and grout to be match up ☹️ And to be in aligned

The tile and grout itself is ugly. No tile setter can fix that.

When you go contrast in colors with grout and tiles you are not getting perfect look for the first 2016 post. But that tiling in the shower having small cut at bottom was just not a good planning by tiler, and its not fixing job now its redoing whole bathroom now. And not aligning joints in the other post shower floor and mainfloor does not look too off as photo in clicked at an angle and separation between two floors will have glass or something. But not aligning up the walls is odd but still be affected by other factors
