What do you like most about this space?
Comments (28)I love the option to work in a private office while still feeling connected to the larger open plan space. And who doesn't want a huge blackboard to creatively brainstorm?...See MoreDoes your house need more storage space? Would you hire storage space?
Comments (5)I hired a storage space (c 2,5 cubic m) when we were putting our house on the market. I needed to make the house look better, and I also needed to start the packing process. Because it was 20 km away, I thought long and hard about everything that went into that space, as compared to what I could donate, sell or trash. Amazing how much stuff is around, but not important at all. Let's just say that I got rid of more than I stored. And since we moved into our new house, I've eliminated another few car boot loads. My motto: if it isn't important enough to be in your house, in use or on display, it sure isn't important enough to spend money storing it....See MorePOLL: Have your pets influenced your home improvement 'style?'
Comments (6)We have two cats that are indoor pets. Sadly the male took a jaunt outside and got a few sctratches and tears from a large neighbour cat. He began territorial peeing on any cushion, stray coat, laundry basket, no matter it was on top of a piano or speaker or even a bed. Our piano varnish ruined, so very much washing.. (Thank God for Nature's Miracle). Now we have to keep him incarcerated in the laundry area which has an enclosed porch and cat tree and so forth. He comes in for supervised visits and we take him outside every other day to run and play. When we move we will be planning an area specifically for him. It's so sad as we never would treat him like this if he could break the habit, but we've tried everything and he's hooked like an addict. He isn't as happy as he used to be....See MoreCan you help my describe my style?
Comments (11)Yes. It is difficult to describe one's style. Have no idea what style but you seem to like: 1. Having a clear link to outside greenery/nature (bringing outdoors in). 2 Lots of light via big windows. 3. Pitched ceiling. 4. Simplicity - square set cornices. 5. House to have a natural elements.. 6. Colour scheme: white/naturals/navy/black/splashes of timber in each room. 7. Division of living space by change of levels. 8. The simple design of house allows your artwork and nature outside to shine. (I like the same style as you, apart from the timber walkway as a must and I often struggle to know what to tell people in shop the look I am going after)....See Moresuzineedsahouse
