Curtains and blind coordination
Comments (4)Either white roller block out blind or if English country theme then white long drop sheers. Curtains can be block out backed. I'd go eggshell blue to match blue background wallpaper and white to match flowers so then beautiful coloured flowers on wallpaper can be highlighted esp if you can get a throw pillow or lampshade to match the glorious pinks and gold...See MoreHelp for curtain & blinds
Comments (2)How about inviting a mobile service to your home to get you started in deciding what you like - alternately take some samples home from a store. There are good online blind companies that will save a lot and will send you samples. You can also ask your local fabric stores which fabric lines they stock - You can then look online at your leisure and select some favourites. Go back inshore this will help the consultant know what you like....See Morecurtains or blinds .... ideas needed
Comments (17)Please don't install verticals. You have such a beautiful home, I strongly believe drapes will look amazing. With curtains you want to install them as high as possible, I would install on the same level as your kitchen cabinetry, so about 10cm below the ceiling cornice. Colour, I recommend two shades darker or lighter to give the room dimension. I feel a classic look will last you a lifetime so a plain coloured drape, and if I were you I would add a border in another neutral colour to further add interest. I will show you a photo of a drape I did for a client and I think this style would suit you. She chose Madison Linen fabric with a dark grey border....See Morecurtains or blinds!!!
Comments (3)Hi Kiran, Neither are better than the other, however some windows/rooms will lend themselves to a particular type of window treatment and thus one will become a better choice for those set of circumstances. Other drivers include the clients particular requirements for the window treatments, taste and budget. Both can be traditional or modern depending on fabric choice and how they are designed and finished, and for curtains the style of rod/track/finials selected. If you are in the Sydney area, we would love to hear from you if you require assistance with design to installation of your window treatments and eliminate the confusion. All the best, Louise - Decoro Custom Interiors...See Moreingridsm
