Accidentally locked myself out of my house in my pajamas (at about 1pm in the arvo mind you!) & had to climb through a high narrow bathroom window to get back in. My neighbour offered me a phone to call my hubby and get him to come home and let me in but I didn't know his mobile number lol... so yes the incident was witnessed!

when my babies were younger I'd take naps in my birthday suit with them downstairs on a futon..as we had a double storey house and too hard to lug them up and down the stairs..one day hubby's friend came over and since the futon was in the rumpus and in full view from the kitchen and dining I had nowhere to hide lol ..

not to mention the time dad took his friends for a visit so I showed them our new addition to the family forgot we had our nude photos taken with the baby hiding our private bits in that lot of photos lol

I was a few months pregnant and one night it started snowing really heavily, just out of nowhere. I was home alone and had been lying in bed binging on New Girl, when I realised it was oddly quiet outside. I went to the window and there was at least 10cm of snow, with huge flakes still falling! I threw on slippers and dressing gown and ran outside. I trudged up my rather steep driveway to take photos of my house and the street, blanketed in this pristine beautiful snow. Then my slippers started getting wet, so I headed back down. I slipped over coming down and landed on my bum. I cursed my clumsiness and went to go inside, and found out that I had locked myself out of the house! I called my husband, and he was stuck behind road blocks at the other end of the Blue Mountains. So I was stranded outside at 11pm, in a wet dressing gown and slippers.

I ended up going around the house, jumping over the dog fence and breaking into my house through the unfinished doggy door.

Oh my Miranda! Just picturing a pregnant women trying to negotiate her baby bump through the doggy door is hilarious! You poor thing!

Great scary but funny story...never let a good photo opportunity get in the way of practicalities ;)))

Hahaha Vy, I can just imagine! I can guarantee that I was not at all thinking I was sexy and I KNOW I wasn't actually sexy!! Haha

I was working in Kununurra (in the Kimberleys), living in a caravan park. One night around 1am I was heading out to the ablution block and came upon a young man pushing his car out the driveway. So I asked him if he needed a hand, and helped him push it. I realised a few weeks later that I'd helped in the theft of a neighbour's car!!!

Oh dear, lucky the well dressed detective wasn't around mazgardiner. You could have been in a real pickle then!

I had an emergency request to go to my FIL's house as he wasn't well & phoned for someone to come around. Hubby couldn't get away from work so he told me the code to the gate but unbeknownst to me the code was for a key box...I'd never heard of it before & misunderstood the instructions.

He was in bed & unable to get the door so I proceeded to climb the outside of the stair railing which was a bit rotten & ended up pulling off 3 or 4 or them to climb into the stairs. Felt like a real twerp when it was explained to me that the code was for a little box that had the key to the gate...I thought it was for the gate & couldn't work out why it wouldn't open...In the end I got there to help ;)

@LouieT... I spoke to a detective when I realised what had happened and had to go through a book of mug shots. How could I have been so naïve?!! I felt bad for the neighbour. He eventually got his vehicle back but not his tool box.

Most of us are not wired to think of ripping someone off mazgardiner...you passed that test ;)

Hubby got himself into a pretty good pickle attaching a wire-mesh roof to the chook pen to stop the crows stealing eggs. Holding things in position above his head with one hand, in a truly unlucky manoeuvre he locked himself to the stay wire with a fencing staple through his finger. Unable to reach the pliers he spent quite a while stood there wondering how long I would be at the beach walking the dog. Too long, apparently, because he eventually decided to free himself by pushing the staple right through his finger. Finger recovered just fine: ego not even dented! Gotta love a man who can laugh at himself.

I will now never put myself in one of those awkward position of getting caught wearing inappropriate clothing now... cause if I do I will be seen...... about 28 years ago I would shower at family home in the am and then drive across to my fiance's house around 6.30am and get dressed over there (I don't know why I did that - young!!!).... that's the scenario set..... I had to drive over the West Gate Bridge (which is big in our area) well the car broke down (engine seized - didn't hear the banging over the loud music however and then the car simply stopped- LOL) coming down off the bridge.... I then had to walk cross the bridge to the middle to try the emergency phone (pre mobiles) in my pjs and sopping wet hair and slippers and surprise the emergency phone didn't work (WHAT) so then I had to cross over the other side of the bridge and walk to the nearest factory (industrial area) looking like the way I was to ring my dad to come and pick me up and arrange for the car to be towed. I vowed I would never go out in the pjs and slippers again. Another instance I had was I had been doing lots of painting so the track suit was covered in paint spots and I decided to go and pick up dinner and not change.... so that happens of course I see someone I worked with and they commented what a lovely style of track suit I was wearing..... I looked shocked and said.... they are my painting clothes.

It's always funny looking back at those funny time but they weren't so funny at the time.

Mine weren't happenings at home.... but still funny to look back at.

I called in to my dad's place while he wasn't home one day and decided to clean up the dishes for him. Turned on the water and raced into the lounge to pick up the coffee cups and others bits I knew would be there, and spotted the new stereo. So parked in front of it, I turned it on, turned it up, twiddled with knobs, put on different music, played favourite tracks from several records, remembered the sink was filling.... In the kitchen I found water covering most of the kitchen floor. I mopped up, which included picking up every last thing off the pantry floor and drying it, then set about my original task, the dishes. The first drawer I opened set my hair on end. It was full of water, as was the next one and the next one, and the cupboards. Aaargh! Later that night, the phone rings:

Hello dear, I see you were here today.

Yep. Nice stereo Dad!

Yes it is. Thank you for doing the dishes.

That's okay Dad, my pleasure.

Did you, um, have any problems?

...Mmmmnnnn, why...?

Because all my drawers are swollen shut.

ctwalker1967...I don't drive in my PJs most time in tshirt and shorts sans bras..and in my moccas..or thongs have not been caught out yet though one time I was in my Tweetie bird boxer shorts forgot I still had to put petrol in ..so had to stop my side of road and change into my proper shorts lol

Hairdryers are hugely underrated... He was a pretty cool Dad Vy, didn't get upset at all. This happened in the 80's, it's all water under the pantry door by now :-)

vy - that's just it you have to be careful you don't forget.... LOL... if it was me someone would have seen me. Just like having a shower/bath at night and your teenage kids friends parents are coming to pick up their kids... normally they simply text the kids that they are out the front... but I can guarantee the time I decide to be in the pjs the parents will come to the door..... I think I am more embarrassed if my husband is in his pj boxer's... LOL

rushing to save a goat caught in a fence I chose not to close our front gate and 20 sheep escaped into the road....many hours of footsore shepherding later I vowed to always make time to shut the gate, the door or window and turn off the stove, the hose or tap, just because "prevention is better...!!
