What colour extension table are you interested in what type of style Just noticed your couches are are dark brown and the dark floor closes up your space A bit hard to suggest chairs as I can't see what theme or style your house is to match what theme are you looking to achieve I would prob by a white gloss table and have either off chairs or light grey fabric chairs and buy a light grey couch Not sure of your budget but The brown couch you already have makes your place feel small and clashes with your floorboards My suggestion would be to get a new couch and dining table to match would make that space feel revived and fresh it's hard to match a table to that space with that brown couch

My Home Stylist - I really appreciate your feedback. The Noguchi coffee is really nice. I think I'm getting closer to finalising the colours. I've done my research and found these. Do you think they match? Coffee table I did my research and found something similar to the noguchi coffee table but in white (thought it'll suit the white ikea table). Dining Chairs I really love the chairs with timber legs but I've decided that since my apartment will be occasionally rented out I'll stick with a more conservative look. Dark Grey frabic will match my sofa. The steel........ It's similar to one of the photos on houzz. Bar Stool: Now that I have chosen a dark grey/steel leg dining chairs and an oak based coffee table, would a standard white barstool with steel leg still work well with everything else or is it starting to clash? I found some possible but more expensive options if it's starting to clash:

We have these and they’re really comfortable and practical. They clean up easily and can be used outside if you need an extra seat or two for a bbq (but don’t leave them outside). It’s a modern classic. I need four additional chairs for my new place and I’d consider them but I need something stackable. There are other great plastic chairs out there and they could be perfect for the type of feel you are trying to achieve. But try them out and make sure they’re comfortable. You and your guests could be sitting in them for hours at a time.

bigreader has had some excellent tips. The rug you've chosen is lovely, but you definitely need a bigger size. A larger rectangle size might have more underneath the couch. You can check out online options. The blue is fantastic, once you have that repeated around both areas your room will have much better flow. One other thing to think about when you are ready to change your lounge is to get something with a lower back (same with dining chair), these help a more visual flow than high back chairs.
