Painting Doors and Trims Same Colour As Walls, Bad Idea?

Hi,
We are in the initial phase of building a new home with Henley and are generally happy with the colour selection we have. However, one thing that my wife and I have lingering doubts about is the Dulux Vivid White selected for the doors and trims.

The joinery (windows frames etc) are black and the walls will be "Dulux Pebble Grey Half". We quite like the approach of our current home where the doors and trim are the same colour as the walls. However not one, but two of Henley's interior designers have talked us out of that idea on the grounds that it is unfashionable.

Thoughts?

Cheers
Brett
