Teddy bears! I am into frogs …. does anyone know of froggy chairs I could use on my camping trips? My most comfortable chair was a $39.95 fake leather recliner, purchased at Montgomery Wards in 1966 when my husband was convalescing from surgery. Recovered twice, new springs the 2nd time. In 2006, I arrived home from work and sank gratefully into this now 'vintage' chair and it gracefully, though noisily, collapsed. Springs, nuts, bolts, shredded innards, and me - scattered all over the living room! So I splurged on a frighteningly expensive modern chair, the second most comfy chair I have had. 6 years later the footrest refused to support my size 7 bare feet. A bolt had sheared off, and the mechanism could not be repaired. Enter the 3rd most comfy, an Ikea Poang, covered with a blanket while awaiting a custom made slip cover. By now, I have accumulated 74 years of aches and pains that often awake me at night; I crawl to the Poang, and snooze happily 'til morning. In a previous post on this discussion forum I described my laundry bin...a 30L cardboard barrel which I lined with an old shower curtain and decorated still reigns supreme on the lid of my top loder, Nobody knows what it is and its a never ending source of admiration from an artistic angle. Lacking floor space the only option was to sit it up there or out on the veranda.It works as a cat toy too. It has, however, acquired some vents in the lid since some of my art shirts are often a bit oily and I learnt that some oils tend to self combist in enclosed spaces and can be the cause of house fires. Sometimes hiding things in plain sight is a good option. With Tribbletrouble45142k7Trek...Your baskets sound pretty...why hide such nice functional souvenits!

Thanks for all the suggestions. It's taken a bit of time but I have collected a few pieces to make the space look better. I decided on a table lamp and have grouped some photos behind it. I'm really happy with the result. a couple of new cushion covers for some more colour which I love. I also have a clock for the far right wall and a picture for behind the couch. i don't love the picture but it will do until I can find something I really like (and have the funds for). thanks for all the great suggestions.

Couple cases here Luke, I taught my son how to cook at least the basics that he liked, steaks, salads, veggies he loved. I also taught him how to do his own laundry and certain minor repairs and improvements to his clothes.. 7 years ago he and his girlfriend of the time were up. He got very upset, because he said she did not need operating instructions. Apparently all his women think he does not know how to do anything. Hubby #1 and #2 have both had me cook for them for years, 10 for the first and 21 for the second. Don't get me wrong, they both chop, nobody likes to see me with a knife in my hand. hubby one liked salads so he learned to make dressing. he probably did something else too, but i do not remember. Hubby 2 same way, a way too hot chili, washing up, chopping, spaghetti sauce, steak. He had to do all the cooking for over 3 years due to Big C. I forgot how many things i don't like til he started his short order navy cook ways. Uggh I am so glad that I am well enough to at least start the meal, he normally does the last couple stirs and serves. In the summer, i actually would cook the whole thing sometimes. Now I guess when you divorce you have to take parting shots, especially if you are the one in the wrong. First hubby made 2 "There is such a thing as being too good a cook" and the other one was equally ridiculous in my opinion! Serve we now our favorite foods... Making sure it sweetens our tudes.... Falalala lalala!
