The girls agree with you. They like the path shot, and I think we can have the pair of this pic blown up and framed. They also wanted a bit of family, so I found three similar shoulder on head shots, of the girls with their father, grandmother and then an old pic of their father as a child with his mother. The poses are similar, and I think I would frame them and put them along the top.

Its just a bit too white, a darker feature color would be nice to give it some definition then you could add the shelves for xtra storage

We think the photo montage might be better placed to the side of the television as artwork can be visually distracting above the tv. The air conditioner also provides another visual element on the wall. Something bold and bright to inject some colour where the frame montage is currently hanging would minimise the visual presence of the air conditioner. I'd go for a sepia toned picture in a dark frame -- as close as you can match to your bed and cabinets -- get a photo you like ( even a modern one , a personal family pic or a sunset or whatever takes your fancy ) , get it sepia toned and printed around 40x 50cm , have the frame at least 10cm wider ( with matt white card infill ) so it all looks period . You can even do smaller ones for the other walls . I know you want something you've made yourself , and I can understand that , but I'd reinforce Dr Retros comment that it could easily detract from the aestethic .
