New sofa to our living room
Comments (23)I was very glad to hear that there are people who like the fabric I have chosen for the sofa. Unfortunately there is a long waiting time 6-8 weeks. I would be more than happy to get some help placing the furniture as well as choosing the soft furnishing. The colour I have fell in love is teal but open for any recommendations. Leelee, thank you for your comments. The cabinet in the corner has been bugging me since we moved to the house. I'm so excited getting finally a new look to my livingroom that I wanted to try something different with my current furniture. the cabinet is no longer in the livingroom and I feel so much better. Regarding the painting, it needs to wait until the new furniture has arrived. I will take a photo and post it later. By the way, we are getting a new king size ensemble tomorrow and would like to get some help to refresh the look. Our old mattress has been a queen size, so need to get a new bedhead as well. I'm going to create a new post of it....See MoreHelp configure furniture in our narrow living room!
Comments (5)By changing the entryway as you have, you have created a more expansive living area Congratulations Now don't box yourselves in again by only using the lefthand area of the new space! Have a round dining table with 4 chairs (and a couple of folding spares if you have dinner parties) Add a console or buffet cabinet on the wall opposite the kitchen entry Use a large mirror above that to bounce light from the balcony, as well as decorate the wall Wall C is a good place to wall-hang the TV, but put it closer to the entryway corner, so you can watch it from the dining table as well Enclose the TV in a built-in shelving system for added storage (can never have too much storage!) Place a modular unit at point A and B with a lovely big rug That will not feel too 'boxed in' Anchor that with 2 easy chairs that can move from point D to wherever you need them for any given occassion A large print on wall B will be a focal point for people entering the room Add wall decoration and living greenery Lovely! Comments (23)WE got rid of our curtains when we repainted, BEST decision ever and now have plantation shutters, they are awesome, look clean, modern yet as we have a Bluestone villa it so doesn't have to be just modern homes, still looks great with the cornices etc will go any where and look great, I liked the Temple and Karari rugs as they won't date then you can add pops of colour such as teal and navy or yellow and navy or really most colours go with the soft blue/navy it would be whatever your taste is in the pop of colour, red or burgundy....choice is endless really, We did have full window shutters....See MoreCan't decide which Sofa layout
Comments (4)I'm going to replace the l shape sofa with a corner one and the huge armchairs with a small 2 seater sofa. I'm also planning on getting a bigger rug so that all the sofas can sit on it and zone the room at the same time, will probably be getting a more neutral one....See MoreLirash
