How do you celebrate Mother's Day?

I know it's a bit of a Hallmark holiday, but I don't care, I love Mother's Day! My family gets together and rewards me for all my hard work as Mum (God knows I deserve it with two teenage boys!). My morning usually starts with breakfast in bed, flowers and sometimes a nice little pressie. I also try to take my own Mum out on the day for lunch.

How do you celebrate? Anything on your wish list this year?

Unfortunately I dislocated my knee last night, so I will spend the day in bed being looked after by my beautiful daughters and scanning ideas through Houzz.

I've still got to wrap my pressie and make her a card..I don't go over there on Mother's Day as no time so I'll probably go today so can spend time with her..

tomorrow is just another day for me as a mum

I'll be working on Mother's Day but was thinking in my absence, I'd set up a sort of treasure hunt with each clue leading her to a different little present/experience. For example, flowers in one hiding spot, with a note that leads to next spot with massage voucher. Hopefully it works and she doesn't bust me planting the clues!

I picked tidy & organise the home, due to the fact we rent & would love useful information & photos of how to store things with limited space & making it feel more like a home without breaking the budget, would love to win the beautiful book for a dear friend who has had a rough couple of years & I know enjoys cooking, she deserves to be on the receiving end of something nice

Excellent, excellent Mothers Day.

Leg of lamb and rolled pork roasts on the go by 9:00am, Snowee taken off to get clipped, Cauliflower and broccoli cheese bake, baked carrots and pumpkin with mixed spices and my special crispy potatoes. All for the seventeen people from four generations made up of the great-grand parents, the grand parents (us) and the parents of the four grandkids plus one uncle thrown in.

And then, the big announcement. My daughter and her partner announced their engagement. Clint had sent Harrison (20 months) in with a card and a small box which Hazza threw onto the bed. The ring box only contained a note asking "daddy wants to know if you want to marry him?"

Excitement all round.

Innocent question here...is Snowee your pet going to the groomer, or is that some sort of recipe? ((Feel free to laugh, lol. I'm just trying to get things correct)). A confused Canuck...:-)

@luvourhome- Snowee's off to be groomed. That much I know. I've been here in Australia for almost 14 years now, and I still get confused by the differences in what is supposedly a common language. Signed: another Canuck.

@archimondo, we celebrated out first four generations Mother's Day, I am also the ( new grannie) I had a great day, we did a beautiful photo. I even staged the area with fresh flowers etc. I did a large morning tea as we share with all the in laws etc. I did a cake with all the mothers (nick) names present .
