How do you celebrate Mother's Day?

I know it's a bit of a Hallmark holiday, but I don't care, I love Mother's Day! My family gets together and rewards me for all my hard work as Mum (God knows I deserve it with two teenage boys!). My morning usually starts with breakfast in bed, flowers and sometimes a nice little pressie. I also try to take my own Mum out on the day for lunch.
How do you celebrate? Anything on your wish list this year?

For example, flowers in one hiding spot, with a note that leads to next spot with massage voucher. In WWI, they surveyed the area around Waterways (Fort McMurray) in order to build the rail line there. Goods were taken to that point by train and then loaded onto barges to be delivered further north. I live about 4 hours away. I was there a few years ago. It was a very historic part of the area and very interesting. There were huge docks, where the barges would be loaded. Comments (8)My darling mother never had money for "decorating" and I can't remember anything new as all belongings were made up of a collection of cast off, second hand and recycled bits and pieces that she scrubbed and polished, repainted and recovered but it looked and felt warm and inviting and the house and garden were always full of flowers. Her pride and joy was the Moroccan tile inspired splashback that she made out of some old wrapping paper, carefuly cut to fit and varnished to make it waterproof...meant to last only 'til she saved up for real tiles it was the starting point for the colours of paint and curtains and cushions and rugs and was only reluctantly replaced years later when the paper finally disintegrated but, nothing ever looked or felt so perfect...many more years later i think of her when I have to decide between a loved old piece of junk and having the option to choose something new and i'm afraid the scruffy usually wins...See More

8 years ago@archimondo, we celebrated out first four generations Mother's Day, I am also the ( new grannie) I had a great day, we did a beautiful photo. I even staged the area with fresh flowers etc. I did a large morning tea as we share with all the in laws etc. I did a cake with all the mothers (nick) names present .
