I'm going to suggest these grey Montage tiles. I think the Como tiles are nice too. Dark grey will add drama and balance out the dark sink. The mixed tones will tie in the variations of grey and silver in the bench tops, appliances and glass door frames. The stone/slate look will add a natural element to complement the wooden floor and balance out the laminate. If you do go for colour, I like Bernadette's suggestion of complementing the glass colour. A tile that looks like pale jade might be nice.

I think a dark grey grout would look great, the wider the gap the more the tiles stand out, if it wouldn't cost too much and you had some spare tiles you could do a mock up on a piece of board , sometimes the only way to really gauge things is to actually see it

Hi Nathan, I worry by introducing another colour, it might wreck the overall aesthetics to your kitchen. My initial thought was a white subway tile with dark grey grout so it’s drawing the grey/darker tones from your floor tiles & wall colour - while still lightening things up with the white tiles. You can always use colour with accessories to bring some spunk into your space :)

Do you have any other colours in your colour scheme in the rest of your house that you might like to incorporate? I think your current colour scheme in the kitchen lends itself to quite a few different options .... black & white encaustic tiles, smoky glass mirror splashback, a coloured sheet of acrylic or check out the range of tiles from Southern Cross Ceramics.... they make it hard to choose! So many beautiful options, colours & patterns .... they have a visualizer too so you can see how it all looks :)
