I have a double right now (one large, one small) and I use the small one to drip dry anything that doesn't go in the dishwasher. It's convenient, but even so I'm planning to switch to a single large sink in the future. I haven't found any double sinks that I really like, but I will admit I haven't seen a great solution to drip drying pots and pans. I really do use that second sink a lot (even if I towel dry my pots, which I don't usually bother to do, I still have to have a place to put them until I've finished the dishes). Most dishracks I've seen are intended for plates and utensils, which I just put in the dishwasher. If I can find a good dishrack for pots and pans, then I will be very happy with a large single basin sink I think.

Thank you, all of you. But Annette, to me the crazing is not at all awesome; it looks dirty. However, after some more googling, I have found a way. Just like treating car duco. 60 grit sanding, then 120 grit sanding, then something else and then metal polish. There is a video on utube; I hope I can find it again. I did not bookmark the site. I have tested a small area with the 60 grit and I can see that this is going to work. But I first have to find a palm sander; hopefully that is something that Bunnings stocks. I will post a photo when I am finished. Inez. BTW: why on earth would anyone manufacture a sink that can not stand hot water. But ? How hot is hot?

I have not seen sink grids before - is this what you mean? If it was 1 inch too small all around, i think it would shuffle a bit but it is unlikely you would notice it much. And if it didn't have some gap, it would scrape as you took it in and out. Hope this helps!

Hmm, 200mm diameter is about the size of a side plate, 300mm dinner plate and after a quick look at a few sink brands (eg Clark they seem to all be closer to 400mm).
