Horizontal roller blinds
Comments (16)Hi I'm getting pretty much what I think your after. It's from Markilux and one of the exterior conservatory blinds. I had a tough courtyard to cover for BASiX requirements. It has a cassette that the blind rolls into. And runs on tracks fixed with a post in my case. It's not installed yet so no photo but here is a link to the manufacturer. http://www.markilux.com.au/external-conservatory/w2/i1004595/ The downsides of this type of blind is I can't use it in the rain. I had to have it run flat and its large, but if you can have it angled for a run off, I think you can use it with rain. The other option I looked as was a soft Roman style blind that hangs on wire tracks. And it can be pulled over the space. I think there is motorised options too. Good luck!...See Morehelp with roller blind colour choice

Comments (33)Thanks oskuee. We have decided to go with obscure glass for the sidelight window as it is too narrow for a blind. For the window, we have chosen a screen roller blind to sit in the window recess so we still have a view outside, when we have it down, but people cannot see in when the lights aren’t on inside. We want a blind for privacy when we are not home, in which case the lights won’t be on. So best of both worlds - view and privacy. As for colour, we have decided to go with a Coal colour with Matt black base rail to give a contemporary look which looks great against the concrete and the rust front door. Happy with our choices. Thanks to all!!...See MoreRoman blinds - one blind or two separate blinds?
Comments (15)As the windows are framed individually I would also suggest two separate roman blinds. Set up to the height of the picture rail will accentuate the ceiling height and tie in with the architecture of the room. To have the blinds at this height will also allow you to see through 100% of the window area when the blinds are open. Where these blinds hang to will also be important to consider. I would suggest the base of the two romans be set to the top of the sill, as to set them lower will show the sill extensions on the left and right sides sticking out. All the best!...See MoreVy
