Lounge room decor advice needed.
Comments (22)I would paint your bookshelf the same colour as the walls and stuff it with, well, books! I would paint the built-in corner unit to match and just use it for potplants - ivy that hangs down would look good. As for the coffee table, if the room is small, what I did in our little family room was hunted around and found a large curved hunk of tempered glass from Freedom and it sort of 'floats' and looks invisible in some lights. Seriously, I think the line was called Ghost and was very reasonable (they also had a side table to match). Throw a bit of cherry red around and see how it looks with the creams and the taupes. Here is a pic of the coffee table....See MoreCurtains and blind coordination
Comments (4)Either white roller block out blind or if English country theme then white long drop sheers. Curtains can be block out backed. I'd go eggshell blue to match blue background wallpaper and white to match flowers so then beautiful coloured flowers on wallpaper can be highlighted esp if you can get a throw pillow or lampshade to match the glorious pinks and gold...See MorePlease help with living room rug, curtains, throws and cushion colours
Comments (71)Rachael, you’re very welcome! It was fun to draw up. As far as layering photos, I wasn’t suggesting you cover one photo with another, (what is the point of having beautiful photos and memories then! Lol) rather, overlap the edges of the frames (both are quite wide from your photos) so that they are connected without obscuring the images within. Hope that makes sense! What a difference just painting that back wall makes! It really opens up the room now. I think the few bricks around your fireplace now is a very charming feature. It keeps the charm of the original while bringing the rest of the room into a fresh new era! Well done! I would suggest running a long extension chord for your tv for now while you try out a new layout for the space if there are no powerpoints on the far wall, just to be sure you like the arrangement. Can’t wait to see updated images of your new space!...See MoreNeed some suggestions for my living space.
Comments (9)The floral chairs are wonderful. Replace the white lounge with two more single chairs or lounge in the same fabric/design as the grey lounge. Purchase a coffee table that is similar to your glass and wood side table. A coffee table with legs, not a box. If you mean by “carpet” a floor rug? Then look at floor rugs in the same grey as lounge. Replace the curtains with one curtain that pulls to the right, so you can open your sliding door without a bunch of curtains in the way. The colour of curtain at the moment matches your accent chairs....See MoreMore Than Curtains
