Ideas for under benchtop in kitchen
Comments (4)I think getting general suggestions is great, since it might open up ideas about things you may not have considered. Just an observation, but this kitchen seems like a small but efficient kitchen that perhaps does not have to meet the needs of preparing large family meals, rather, it has the essentials and mod cons that meets your needs. I suggest installing a pull out drawer with both a USB and power outlet inside that (or beneath) and a tuck away stool, to use as a hot point to charge and use your tablets, phones etc. Quite a few modern kitchens allow for these hot points to pay bills, order groceries online and only need a drawer for pens, papers, chargers etc, ultimately they end up in a junk drawer or worse on your bench top cluttering up your precious little bench space. Being clever, you can look for a stool that is perhaps a foldout step ladder, to get to overhead cabinets, and make use of any vertical storage you have also. So I'd go with a hot point, aka workstation....See MoreUnder Stairs dead space

Comments (4)The toilet under the stairs would be quite cramped, would you consider turning the toilet around facing the other way and using the access door from the laundry into the toilet. The then smaller space under the stairs would work better for storing brooms etc. Any vanity or hand washing can be done in the laundry space, can you post another plan showing more of the laundry. I will draw what I am suggesting and post...See MoreFloor plan ideas for raise and build under of Queenslander
Comments (8)i was wondering about a downstairs front door but then how would you use the upstairs entry and what about potential loss of the grandparents' bedroom and space taken away from the garage and storage... different internal stairs meant enlarging the whole downstairs floor area (and changing the roof) and sacrificing space needed for the new upstairs deck and future pool (and extending further into the yard encroaches on the neighbours' views) but the old front stairs can be lengthened to maintain the original look of the house and you'll find that friends and family will more likely come in through the garage or rumpus room and the old front stairs will be used for only very enthusiastic sales people and photo ops but you do need to confirm all the dimensions on the original floor plan as the room sizes are inconsistent and an accurate original floor plan (including exact location of doors and windows) will help ensure that my suggestions could fit with the least amount of alteration to the existing structure and may also invite different suggestions from other HOUZZERS and happy to redraw your plans if you can correct this copy...See More- Tony Carrozza thanked Real Estate Photography Warrnambool Kane Horwill
