Initially, in that case, I'm liking the idea of playing with silver. But first, the main difficulty is that there is a mix of styles -- quite pared-down and functional on the one side of the room, then on the other side the mirror and all, which are ornate. My first suggestion is to move the TV to where the mirror is, as Mark was provisionally suggesting above. Would your TV console fit there? Then we might be able to bring the mirror and that pretty chest of drawers into the sitting area, which would give you a better balance. Separate the mirror and the chest; they're fighting each other. The mirror could go over the brown couch so that it reflects the view from the window that's currently blocked by the TV. Would the chest fit where the small table currently is? The small table could then act as a side table to the black couch, in the corner where you have I-know-not-what ... that big black board. I'd suggest you take everything off it except the white statuette. I have other thoughts but I'll leave it at that for now; very interested to see what Mark suggests.

Hi, your home looks pretty good, you have done a lot on the interiors. Coming back to the question, yes, you can add a wallpaper behind the television, go for a textured wallpaper as it will create a compliment to your television. As you have decorated with wooden elements, you can go with a bookshelf on the wall. And, there is one more thing which will be a simple addition but will look perfect and that is an antique wall clock. An antique wall clock will make your wall look great without any fuss.

I don't think your current kitchen plan is going to work. Your current kitchen plan may end up a bit tight... how much space between the open dishwasher or oven and the opposite cupboards? I estimate that to be 40-50cm... I think you may end up with a one person kitchen. No need for a big pantry. 2c.... keep the toilet where it is. keep the study where it is. Draw a horizontal line across from your existing toilet wall and chop a big chunk off the living space (or what was the formal dining). The new space is your butlers pantry. Slide the entry door to the right by 60-90cm. Your new butlers pantry is 3.2x2.2m. Put your sink against the toilet wall - and the dishwasher. You have easy access for plumbing with the WC utilities. Then you just need a small sink in the kitchen next to the stove for filtered water and washing your vegies etc. Put your fridge against the toilet wall too... and plumb that in. Because by the money you save you can get a fancy new french door fridge with a cold water tap on it...

I think you can very well still have plants in a windowless room- as long as you're willing to give them regular little 'windowsill holidays' in another room. I'd go with succulents, there are some great warm colour combos (see Pinterest for ideas) and the geometric shapes mimic your tiles. Of course, there are some incredible fake ones around too, saw one last week I could not pick from the real thing. I'd be tempted to mix in some of both to balance aesthetics with practicality! Separately, I'd be careful of adding any soft furnishings (rugs, spare towels, etc) to a small powder room. We are all aware these days that a flushed loo spreads germs a meter around it- I wouldn't want to be collecting and trapping them! I think (subtle) fragrance and votives would warm this lovely space without impeding hygiene.
