Need curtain advice for a new home!
Comments (2)Here is a perfect example of how to hang simple panels. Rod is ABOVE the frame and extended onto the wall so that the fabric clears the glass. There is no need to cover higher transom windows. They look great unadorned. Here is another suggestion for transom and double hung. Transom plain and affordable matchstick blinds. And then there is the window treatment that takes care of it all. This is my #1 favorite…the plantation shutter. Not inexpensive, worth the investment, you can leave them as is or you can hang panels for more color, easy to clean, adjustable for any light/privacy needs and you will have them the rest of your life. If I were you and just starting out in a new home, I would do plantation shutters, and if budget-minded, do one room at a time....See MoreNeed ideas to enhance front of my house
Comments (22)With out knowing the layout of your home its a little difficult to say, but the top large window section would look great with either roof to floor windows or if $ is ok put on a balcony with bifold doors. Render the brick work and fix the concrete in the front. Garden can make a big difference to the front with out a huge expense...See MoreNeed help for my house walls
Comments (9)Just colour that big wall, as everyone is sugggesting OR you could paint that big alcove space in the ceiling instead OR you could paint the wall and the alcove bit of the ceiling one colour, but the boxed in walls - in that space - a different colour. Hope you know what I'm talking about! Good luck....See MoreNeed some Idea for my home theatre
Comments (3)my suggestion would be to move the kitchen into the alcove, enclose the staircase to create storage underneath and a door to shut off light from the stairs and a door to close off the hall to the bathroom, paint the walls in a gorgeous dark colour and cover all the windows with double block out blinds and curtains, install a suitable screen on the end wall with a ceiling mounted projector and choose furniture that is light and moveable so that the room can also be used for other purpose.... the couches shown in the plan are each 3m long and there's still plenty of space for seating and tables around the walls!!...depends on how many people you expect to entertain but it should be a fabulous room, enjoy...See MoreKK1000
