Design help needed for kitchen please!
Comments (10)Now that's a cook's kitchen, are you keeping all appliances along with benchtops. You said that you were keeping the same footprint, if the base cabinets are still in good condition would you keep them as is and just replace the wall cabinets with Bunnings paintable shaker style in a soft grey and paint the walls the same colour, still keeping the oven cabinet in Beech. At the moment your kitchen has a lot of great stainless steel and wonder why the bronze cooper splash back, trend?, I can see by the photo that the kitchen is a bit dark, so perhaps a mirrored splash back would reflect more light and would look great with the stainless benchtop and the soft grey. If you are not keen on the mirror for the splash back and breakfast bar the white tiles could be replaced with French Country white and grey tiles Beech wood looks great with greys and black & white. I would look at replacing the Stools, Kmart have $25 dollar stools, different colours Lighting, an easy cheaper lighting is to use track lighting as you only need to have the one connection, tracks can be joined and placed in any shape or position where light is needed, like over the sink. You can use both spotlight and pendant lighting with these. PLEASE replace any open corner shelves with cabinets. This would be very cheap to achieve, good luck...See Moreexterior design help please
Comments (2)I think it looks like a citadel or a synagogue. What about an off white that will blend with the brick colour, even a marble look on the pillars, put colour shades in the top triangle highlighting the window. Anything that will blend and soften the brick colour...See MoreEnsuite Renovation - Design Ideas - Please Help
Comments (9)my suggestion is similar to Paul's but with a lower counter (built in seat and or towel storage?) under the lower window sill with a 1500 wide vanity and wall cabinet... you could also have the bath against the window and have a freestanding storage cabinet or chair at the other end the vanity and showers ;locations haven't been moved but reducing the entry door to standard 820 would allow for a standard 1500 wide shower and the gaps around the door in the bedroom could be repaired with a wider architraves to save needing to plaster?...See MoreUgly Brown Brick exterior design dilemma
Comments (20)I would go with Monument. The house is dark brown so adding some relatively small surfmist elements wouldn’t change the perception of the house. At the photo above the surfmist works well as the roof is visible from the ground and it’s surfmist as well. The brown brick has those dark spots which go well with Monument. The house will look dark but elegant. In order to make the house more cheerful I would invest into adding as much greenery as possible. You might even think about adding couple relatively large pots along your side wall and/ or at the front right. You can also paint the front door any cheerful colour you like....See MoreNhu-Thuy Thieu-Quang
