Calling for advice with what to do with our front facade asap
Comments (10)If time and budget permit I would add horizontal screens (timber stain or charcoal/woodland grey) from the right pillar to the garage (hiding the down pipe) and from the left corner of the house (hiding the bins) Do basic landscaping, two narrow beds either side under the windows, bark mulch and simple plants e.g. Lomandra longifolia (a native low grassy dark green clumping plant) is common but easy spaced every 30 cm Valuers like safe and neutral schemes, so keep with the Woodland grey roof/fascia & Classic cream garage door and repeat this on the upper feature slats for now. Then add a warm complimentary colour for the front door, this is Dulux Rodham Then get a lush new plant for that pot too. If you keep it simple (KISS Principle) for now it will come together for sure :)...See MoreRed brick facade update advice
Comments (14)Scyon cladding , wider boards fitted vertically instead of render would look great, less maintenance and looks amazing, along with your planned formal garden would give your home a real edgy look, google Scyon for some really inspirational ideas....See MoreExterior colour and facade update advice
Comments (10)Maybe paint facials white and put some white cladding in front gable so eye drawn to that not windows not a blue tinged white eg not dulux lexicon but warm white to go with cream blinds eg natural or polar white or grand piano 1/4 strength would also go nicely with woodland Grey and jasper - cb basalt also goes nice with woodland Grey maybe go 1/2 strength on walls as it’s a nice neutral black/Greywhixh would detract from purple tinge...See MoreRoof colour and front facade advice please
Comments (3)What about one of these for roof and deck railings? Trial any colour using sample pots before you commit to purchase, as how the colour look can certainly vary. If if you are hiring a painter for the roof, the downspouts could be done at same time. I would not attempt to paint the spouting myself for reason you mentioned. Otherwise, leave them as is - as lush as your garden is, they may not be noticeable. As for your decking, is it painted? If so, I’m pretty sure you cannot oil it, so could either leave it to weather or repaint it....See Morescottevie
