Ali your kitchen looks amazing. The colours are wonderful. I have a question for you about the Rugged Concrete. I’m thinking of using it on our island bench but I’m a little worried about finger marks and cleaning. I’ve read lots of bad reports about the other Caesarstone concretes like Fresh,Raw and Sleek. And I’m hoping Rugged Concrete is easy to clean. How is yours now that you’ve had it for a little while?

This advice may not be of help but I had silicone all over glass bricks and when I read the destruction notes on the tube, it said use turps. I did use one of those razor blade scrapers as suggested in the previous post and it did help once the silicone softened up but I would be concerned about it scratching the floor in your case, albeit if you hold it right is shouldn't. I was dubious that the silicone could be removed having been there a few yeas on my glass bricks but it did work albeit it took allot or rubbing. Not sure what turps will do to the fresh polish but perhaps you could ask the maker of the silicone, as the tube info usually has a hotline number. Good luck. Cheers, Barbara

You're welcome Jen. I think it was $70 shipping Australia wide. All feature herringbone tiles I'd looked at were so expensive and I found theirs for 65/ metre. I ordered extra and I'll use them for the Landry too.

It’s possible but squishy. We have similar in our kitchen, but longer bench at 3450mm. 800mm cooktop, 1200mm sink, standard dishwasher. 317mm between wall oven and cooktop, 1100mm between cooktop and sink. The dishwasher is at the very end of the run. That might not work for everyone but it was important to us to have the approximately 1m between cooktop and sink. You would only get about 50cm in a 3m bench. We also have a 3.2m island with no appliances or sink. Goof luck with the plans
