Hhmmm. I think I like the top one on the right. It's warmer. The bottom one also looks nice but it seems really light in the pic. I'd be thinking of hair on your bathroom tiles. Movement in the tile is always good as you won't be able to see hair as much as a light coloured tile. Don't know if this helps at all??

Be mindful of slip factor too with lappato finish

These wont be for the bathroom...they will be the tiles in the entire open area of the house downstairs - kitchen, lounge, dining, etc....Yes they are rectified edges

Oh. Sorry. Assumption on my part. They're both nice. Depends on your views regarding the practicality and maintenance of a lighter tile (and lighter grout) in your main living area. And colour of furnishings you intend to pair with the tiles.... They're both beautiful. You really can't go wrong

They are both grey. The one u said u like better is the Lapato one and that's the one i am also thinking of going with, which is also the one i just posted here above this comment

Probably the darker one with the stronger pattern. I think it will be more practical in living areas. Good luck! Colour selection can be tricky and stressful.

If the lighter one came in a Lapato finish..i would go for it in a heart beat as i LOVE light coloured tiles....but since this lighter one isn't lapato, it looks more like a matt - concrete sort of look...I want a little shine or gloss...just a bit...So that's why I'm going for the Lapato one...i think lol

Id say top one, remember when laid out over a big area it will look lighter anyway - the lighter coloured one is so light it will just look like white over a big area, the darker one has more character.

Hi. Both tiles are beautiful. Top one shows more character due to its darker hue. I guess for me, I would look at aesthetics and quality manufacturing foremost, then practicality for the reasons already mentioned by others. If the area you are tiling is huge and will require a great deal more of your time to clean and maintain, then I can see going with the darker tile. If the area is rather small, and you absolutely love the lighter tile, then perhaps you will be happier following your heart. It's no good having regrets, so think it through and keep looking if you have additional time before you must choose. May I ask the size of the tiles? I'm guessing they are 900x900. ?? Also, will you be tiling your bathroom(s), and if so, do you mind sharing your choice there?

It is for a very big area - I am having open plan, so it's going everywhere downstairs.

My bathroom tiles are absolutely gorgeous - From Italy and light coloured - big rectangle sized - Will take a photo for you ;)

And yes, these square light grey tiles are 90x90...I didn't want to go bigger as too much wastage...but 90x90 are still big size :)

I still like your original choice in tile. The pattern is nice and I like the lappato finish too.

I like the lighter one. It seems more fresher and timeless to me.
