Comments (9)That artwork is fabulous. I think it really suits the room actually - just a few tiny accents of colour around the room and it will be very very nice. I love the cushion suggestions in the above by asquithoatley. Some low, small cement candle bowls with a touch of painted colour could do the trick to tie the artwork to the coffee table.. and a dash of colour or white on the table would do nicely. The table and the artwork really hit it off in this room nicely....See MoreArtwork/wall decor for my guest bedroom
Comments (38)Hi, Love the artwork. Because they're so small, how about putting them vertically, side by side on the wall where the bookcase is. I'd either take out the bookcase, or paint it white. If space is an issue in the room, you could maybe replace the bookcase with a small ottoman/ pouf in a textured plain fabric. This gives guests a place to lay their clothes at night or to set an overnight bag. You could consider a LARGE, maybe hectagonal grey framed mirror over the bed to echo the lines in the bedding. The bedding has a lot of pattern and a mirror may be all you need. Most of all, don't rush. Take your time and enjoy the process....See MoreArtwork & cushion ideas for my small living area
Comments (16)@oskuee - Wow - that's a bit hostile! Why are you so upset? Other professionals constantly add their comments and suggestions to Design Dilemmas, so why can't I? There are MANY names which appear constantly in nearly every Design Dilemma. I see you have made 1150 comments yourself! This Houzzer has asked for artwork ideas and that is precisely what I am providing. I am giving them advice as to what may/may not work in their space. I'm a hard working Australian Artist trying to make a living, like everybody else and I'm a little frustrated with people sending others to places selling mass produced art, when Australia is rich with creative talent. Shouldn't we be supporting the work of Australian Artists? Original artworks need not be expensive and I don't believe everybody needs to go to the majors for a cheap artwork. I offer affordable art for any size budget. If you have a problem, please send me a direct email....See MoreWall art suggestions needed
Comments (4)Hi Pallavi! Megan from Bluethumb Online Art Gallery here. We're loving how your living room is coming along - you have a nice neutral base to start with, and those cushions are adding some colour you can really work with. We'd suggest adding more aqua and pink, to really make them the accent colours of the room. You can then pick artwork that integrates both, which will tie the whole room together! Some ideas for a large artwork using the pink and aqua tones are: https://bluethumb.com.au/bytanya/Artwork/here-comes-the-sun-print https://bluethumb.com.au/dianne-delandro/Artwork/busy-life https://bluethumb.com.au/april-lockwood/Artwork/the-coathanger https://bluethumb.com.au/jillbryant/Artwork/harbour-noise-1-2 https://bluethumb.com.au/monnica-marwick/Artwork/rose-monnica-marwick https://bluethumb.com.au/monnica-marwick/Artwork/blue-monnica-marwick https://bluethumb.com.au/judy-button/Artwork/sensual-scent https://bluethumb.com.au/missym/Artwork/the-peaches-blushed-pink-extra-large-abstract-study-series-2017 https://bluethumb.com.au/dianne-alchin/Artwork/into-the-deep-dianne-alchin Or you could add three framed prints, such as these by Marinka Parnham, one of our most popular print artists: https://bluethumb.com.au/marinka-parnham/Artwork/rosella-s-in-the-flowering-gum-182882 https://bluethumb.com.au/marinka-parnham/Artwork/homeward-bound-lino-print https://bluethumb.com.au/marinka-parnham/Artwork/kookaburra-and-banksia-lino-print-189190 Another popular choice is Angus Martin, who reproduces each drawing, which means ever edition is unique: https://bluethumb.com.au/angus-martin/Artwork/ballerina-a2-black-frame-v2 https://bluethumb.com.au/angus-martin/Artwork/entrap-a2-black-frame https://bluethumb.com.au/angus-martin/Artwork/embroil-a2-black-frame Angus's work has the option to come framed or unframed. These are all suggestions, based on the knowledge that you have a budget and what our other collectors are drawn to. Let us know if you'd like a different selection based more on your personal taste - we can create a curation just for you, at no cost. Cheers, Megan...See Moregirlguides
