Can i convert my powder room into a walk in kitchen pantry
Comments (9)I don't think your current kitchen plan is going to work. Your current kitchen plan may end up a bit tight... how much space between the open dishwasher or oven and the opposite cupboards? I estimate that to be 40-50cm... I think you may end up with a one person kitchen. No need for a big pantry. 2c.... keep the toilet where it is. keep the study where it is. Draw a horizontal line across from your existing toilet wall and chop a big chunk off the living space (or what was the formal dining). The new space is your butlers pantry. Slide the entry door to the right by 60-90cm. Your new butlers pantry is 3.2x2.2m. Put your sink against the toilet wall - and the dishwasher. You have easy access for plumbing with the WC utilities. Then you just need a small sink in the kitchen next to the stove for filtered water and washing your vegies etc. Put your fridge against the toilet wall too... and plumb that in. Because by the money you save you can get a fancy new french door fridge with a cold water tap on it......See MoreCan I fit 3x 400mm pendant lights over an island bench of 2.6m?

No, if you replace pendants that have staggered drops, the fittings are completely removed and new pendant fittings are installed in their place. The electrician just shortens the drops without cutting them & the extra lenth is hidden away in ceiling....See MoreWhere can we fit a master and ensuite? Extend the rear or reconfigure?
Comments (30)always good to please your husband and you'll have a better chance of achieving a good result together....cost will depend too much on the reality of the site to guestimate...we always begin by consulting a builder to check the existing building to see what's possible structurally, check with Council to see what's legal and then you'll need formal plans drawn up so you can collect quotes but i'd be inclined to ask about the whole project as you may have a better chance of attracting an experienced custom builder for a bigger job than just the small extension (even if you negotiate to have the work done in stages ...best of luck...See MoreCan I fit a separate shower and bath in this size ensuite?
Comments (5)my suggestions would be to leave the toilet, bath and vanity in the existing locations, move the bathroom door and install the new shower in that corner...this means reducing the wardrobe to add a new bathroom door but an extra wardrobe would add more storage in the bedroom ..the new shower and door would have to smaller than ideal but still within standard sizes available and a hinged door could have a towel rail attached and is better for moisture control and it might be possible to recycle the existing door and architraves...See More2 FIND and DESIGN
