Help with laundry/bathroom layout
Comments (4)also for safety having a back door is essential in case of fire etc. Make sure the door is an exterior grade one to keep "night visitors" out. I've seen laundries housed in cabinets...the firsts suggestion sounds nice but i haven't seen your floor plan layout. is that double laundry sink your bathroom vanity as well? maybe get the washer hardware happening inside (and preferably an under bench model for more bench space and an integrated look), and choose a farmhouse design sink. choose all white and grey tones. best of luck....See MoreCombined kids bathroom /laundry
Comments (6)Ok, leaving the laundry as is coz it's existing I'll focus on the bathroom... - not sure if the opening from the laundry to bathroom is existing too, but if not I would consider moving the doorway 'down' closer to the wall, which would make the space more workable (p.s. a cavity sliding door would work best here) - I would add a highlight window say 04x21 on the 'left'/bath wall with frosted glazing for privacy and would replicate that highlight window with clear gazing above the door/wall separating the laundry and bathroom - if this isn't the main bathroom but an additional one for guests, do you really need a bath in there?... I would swap location of the bath & vanity and have a double walk-in shower along the 'top' 2m wall, with a glass shower screen to maintain light and openness... also better for elderly guest than climbing into/over bath hob - I would put the vanity, a floating one to maintain openness, on the 'left' wall where the bath was, and I would still keep the window to the street at the 'bottom' but maybe centred on the wall could be better Hope that makes sense, let me know what you think and feasibility...See MoreNeed help with the laundry that will be combined with bathroom
Comments (1)we need a floor plan with dimensions to offer any worthwhile suggestions.....See MoreBathroom renovation help - keep toilet separate or combine?
Comments (16)it' not the size of the toilet that matters, it's the size of the humans that need to use it ...allowing anything less than 80cm x 80cm for knee and elbow space, plus more for standing room plus extra for any swing doors and more space for a handbasins and with no other toilet on the ground floor the best option is a separate toilet and i would steal some space off the laundry to make a more comfortable powder room..and the different floor levels don't always prevent stealing some space off the laundry but what is the size of the laundry, including ceiling height at the wall closest to the back of the existing toilet and is the laundry ceiling flat or raked and how many steps are there between lowest floor and bathroom floor?...See More- 7 years ago
