Hello guartris, Well I would take the inspiration from the picture you have posted.. Nicely done! I like the darker grout idea personally.. so grey would be my choice.. I love the different textures and feels with industrial lighting and oven with a period feel hood above the oven... One thing I would do.. Have all the cupboards with a touch/open mechanism.. They look so stylish without handles.. Nickel cup handles for drawers... : ))

We are doing a new kitchen with antique white shaker cupboards & drawers and I'm thinking a painted, pressed metal splashback behind a free standing 90cm heritage style electric cooker and the subway tiles elsewhere. We are doing an oiled natural shaped huon pine slab for the main benchtop.

Yes I notice the same with those angular, trough-like bathroom basins. You have to put lots of water in before you can dip in a face washer or anything. Plus those squared off basins/sinks tend to splash water more easily. Give me a rounded-off basin/sink anytime. Flush-mount preferably!

Hi Renae, thanks for using our photo in relation to the black and white cabinet work. I think that the black/white is certainly a time-less look, you will be able to add any colour with it as trends change. The client worked with a satin 2PAC on this job, we do not recommend a matt 2PAC as it will give a chalkboard appearance. Another point to note is that the black may show any chips easier while the paint is still curing, so be sure to get a pot of touch up paint for any small incidents.
