Help needed for exterior update : render and/or paint, what color?
Comments (16)The grey on the western wall looks dark and purplish on my monitor. It may come over as too imposing and monolithic on the southern face. If you're sticking with the grey palette then a warmer tone would suit the sandstone better. Does Dulux have a colour palette recommendation that includes your Berkshire White plus a grey? Check online or in store pamphlets. But, for such a big, expensive, and impactful paint job I would actually be tempted to get a colour consultant. You're not just repainting a loungeroom wall if it doesn't work!...See MoreDulux Exterior Render Colour - HELP NEEDED!!!

Comments (0)We're renovating a beautiful old homestead on our farm and I need some exterior colour advice! We've built a new section on and have reroofed the entire house. It was impossible to match the lovely red/brown bricks used on the original part of the house so we have decided to render the new section (as well as another part of the house that was added on some years ago). Roof, bullnose verandah and gutters are Zincalume. Fascia / windows / french doors are all Colorbond Surfmist. We're replacing all of the verandah posts with new timber posts, and the front and back entrance doors will be a matching timber. Now I need help choosing a render colour!! We'll be building a garage near the house and thought we'd try to pick a Colorbond render colour so that we can tie the garage in with the house - perhaps Wallaby or Jasper?? I'm concern they'll be too dark though. Someone suggested that we do a half tint for the render and then the full tint for the garage... thoughts anyone?? All suggestions or advice most welcome!! Thanks...See Moreneed help with exterior render colors
Comments (2)I have Monument windows black brick and render in Dulux white duck. The whole inside is painted in Whisper white but it was way to bright for out side. The designer chose the Dulux white duck and I’m very happy with the colour. Looking at your house and imagining without all the scaffold that’s what I would choose. Grab a sample and paint a large piece of cardboard, that way you can move it around and see it in the sun, shade etc, remembering that the scaffold creates a massive amount of shade....See MoreUser
