Comments (7)I like a very full, ornate tree, with plenty of sparkle. I have large bows and a train that runs through the top of he tree, with puffing smoke and a bright lint and whistle. I like the tree to take on the whole meaning of Christmas and I overload it with memories and moments of Christmases past. I also have Christmas elves in mine. They are about knee high and are dressed in rich burgundy and green traditional costumes, with lots of gold embelishmens. They have porcelain faces and there are enough climbing amongst on perched on branches to look real for my daughters amazement! Comments (27)Ham, Prawns, cold Turkey /cranberry stuffed roll & vegetarian loaf plus salads, desserts & Christmas cake made by mum is a must! The vegetarians love the loaf & it's made with cashew nuts, quinoa, eggs, semi dried tomato & various herbs/garlic etc but takes a lot of prep. Comments (8)Santa came early last week & delivered my Mum home to us for 5 precious weeks from the US... we had 14 long years apart so having her back is an answered prayer ... time with those we loved, lost & had miraculously return to us to heap love on once again is a great blessing. That said - my beloved grandmother is deteriorating rapidly with frontal lobe dementia - she has good & bad days but gone are the long crazy storytelling conversations & giggles we used to share - I had a very special & unexpected 24 hours with her recently & it was like the clouds parted for a brief moment & she was her old self for flashes in time - we don’t talk like that any more as she can’t get the words out.. but her hugs & holding her hands in mine, spoke more to me than any words we could have said to each other....See MoreMaria Loisa Limjap
