What's the difference between Dulux Whisper white and Natural white?
Comments (8)I love Dulux Natural White. It’s white without being clinical. I’d suggest you grab a sample pot of both and paint a section if possible. The sample cards can look significantly different to the actual paint. I did the same with 3 ‘whites’ on my house (very glad I did) and went with Natural White....See MoreDulux Casper white quarter? Vivid White?
Comments (22)We have done all of the downstairs open plan area in Caspar white quarter. Skirts done in same colour in gloss with vivid white ceiling & cornice. We had a4 samples of 4 Dulux whites: Snowy Mountains 1/2, white exchange 1/2, white polar 1/4. Moved the samples to every room with hubby & wrote down which we preferred. Tried them in north and south rooms in day and night light. CW1/4 was hands down the favourite. It looks great - crisp & clean with no blue, we love it. Photos were taken at night. Hope this helps....See MoreKitchen renovation - the white paint dilemma
Comments (3)Sorry, I can’t comment on the whites you have mentioned. For what it’s worth, I’ll just mention that we’ve been very happy with Dulux Whisper White in the past. From memory it just has hint of black pigment in it. Found this to work well across a wide range of lighting situations. Great with a range of different timbers, from aged cypress (a bit yellow), cedar and iron bark (a bit red). To some it might look a bit stark but to my eye it always looked fresh, not dirty, and not creamy. An alternative is Dulux Half Duck White which we have used at quarter strength (half, half duck white ) which has the black pigment plus ochre I think, which Is similar but maybe a bit ‘softer’. Good luck....See Morewhite on white exterior paint colours
Comments (1)There are so many things to consider, for example the orientation of the house is it a North facing yard which will attract lots of natural sunlight, where South facing is shaded and colours will appear deeper / darker. What colour are the gutters and fascias and roof? Aluminium windows are these pearl white? As you probably know there are many shades of white, that have very different undertones, some throw red, blue or yellow. From the samples you have painted you appear to be drawn to a "greige" combination of grey and beige a smart colour for todays exteriors so certainly on trend. A lovely greige I have just recommend for a client is a Deluxe colour called Calf skin, paired with natural white trims and a grey pebble large garage roller door has come up beautifully. If you are in Sydney happy to assist with a colour consultation. Worth the money...See More- 8 years ago
