Splashback Dilemma
Comments (1)Was the wall painted then the glass installed? Or was the glass painted at the factory? The former would be easy to change. The later not so easy. You could get a quote to get it replaced but I'd leave with it for a while....See MoreKitchen splash back
Comments (8)What a beautiful piece of stone on your island benchtop! We could recommend a subtle and plain splashback for your kitchen. This will allow your stunning island benchtop to be the show stopping piece in the space. If you prefer tiles to glass consider a simple white subway tile laid in a classic horizontal pattern as opposed to herringbone. Good luck and don't forget to share some completed photos with us with its all finished....See MoreStainless steel splashback dilemma
Comments (27)As everyone has said it looks good but sometimes you just need to update and change. There is products available, Kerlite porcelain cladding for one. Kerlite is a thin porcelain cladding that comes in many colours and textures. Can be used on walls floors bathrooms, outside etc. I had a small court yard with a door leading to the garage. I covered the door and the rendered wall to make it all flush and create a feature wall. Basically there is nothing you can’t cover and the colour and texture range now is unbelievable. Kerlite is definitely not a diy job, you need the experienced tiler. Also it’s been out for a while now and I’m pretty sure there is tile cladding etc etc. maybe google porcelain cladding, there will be similar products. Check it out I highly recommend it....See MoreKitchen Splashback Dilemma
Comments (33)Thanks, Julie. I really do hope that after all the worrying and running around getting our minimal house reno right the first time that everything falls in the right place and look good (or great!) in the end. And hope I do remember to post some post-reno pics after all this. Dreamer, thanks for your feedback. We’re on the same page with regards to the pendants and the artwork. The artwork is the first thing on show as soon as one enters the door then, as they make their way to the living area, they’ll walk past the pendant lights in the kitchen so, same eye candy at opposite ends of the room. I try tying them all in throughout somehow except for the splashback which is completely the odd one out. So, really just need to get the splashback right....See MoreVy
