Hi Jayne. I'm currently in the process of selecting finishes for our new pool. I've considered the graphite Quartzon too, as I like the water colour a grey interior produces, but I've decided against Quartzon as I've been told it is a high maintenance product. I'm now considering jewels4pools "pearl" glass beads (which look a bit silvery) in a grey cement base (instead of the usual white base) with a grey mosaic waterline tile or possibly stretching the budget to fully tiled in grey mosaics. I like dark coping also but am hunting for a suitable mid grey colour because I'm concerned the dark coping will be too hot underfoot. I was aiming for a natural stone paver but no luck finding the right thing so far, so at this stage my favoured option is a structural porcelain paver called "outdoor 20" in colour "Bluenorte Gris". We are almost done - some metal artwork and filter box to go before planting. Thought you all might like to see what we ended up doing…. Pool & tiles by pool company, everything else done by ourselves. We are extremely happy with the waterline tile colour - they show up differently all times of the day which is a lovely surprise. Barnes.... I actually know of a product that cleans that off with ease!!! It's new has had testing and has been through the process of intellectual property and is now currently under production. If you are interested I can try source you some.

Hi, We are currently building a 10 x 2.5 pool that will have decking and a fascia board to the edge of the water with no coping. We will be using old pieces of spotted gum around the edge that have already lost their tannins. We have had conflicting advice as to whether we need a waterline tile or whether we can just run the pebble Crete up behind the fascia board for a more seamless look. We are aware of the possible scum line and cracking of pebblecrete out of the water but wonder if this will be a problem if we have a fascia board going down to the pool? we are considering spending a bit more money on a glass pebblecrete which looks nicer and we imagine will be easier to clean? Any advice much appreciated
