Bath tubs come in a huge array of sizes and shapes. You need to do a 'stand test' in any tub you're considering, i.e. literally hop in and stand up and check that there isn't too much of a slope and there is a big enough flat area to manoeuvre comfortably and safely while showering. If acrylic tubs aren't seated properly during installation they will flex and move quite a bit underfoot when you're showering whereas steel tubs feel very solid to stand in. Happy shopping!

If you put it at end with shower head and spout, just make sure you can reach it easily when running a bath. Would the screen get in the way? We've just put our mixer on wall as you get in the shower, so you get the temperature right before getting too wet! Bathroom isn't quite finished yet, so fingers crossed it's s good idea!

I think it depends on whether there is a young family in the home or not. And for resale purposes, it’s not a big deal as the buyer will determine their own personal need/priority accordingly at time of purchase. Stand-alone shower is much better though. The room looks much bigger. The use of tiles is great. And a huge standout for me is that the mirror frame sets off the tiles. It needed that something extra to bring it all together - you’ve hit the mark fabulously. Just needs a plant (real or faux) in there now :)

I'm not a fan of shower over bath either but agree sometimes for some people it's the best solution. The makeover is beautiful. Two things, just in my opinion. I always wish for a grab rail when using a shower over a bath, as I sometimes do in hotels. I felt that way even when younger and more agile. Surely there could be a way of installing something to hold onto when stepping in and out without it looking like a nursing home? I suppose in a bathroom such as that shown I would hold onto the towel rail. I've always wondered about vessel basins that slope inwards, is it a problem for cleaning behind them?
