We have just a built a double storey house and we got the builder to install a batten and noggin in the formal living area and dining area. Not sure what we were thinking and we didn't get a noggin or batten for the living area. The 3 areas formal, loving and dining are open plan and connected to each other. As we have a batten and noggin We can have a fan in the formal area and in the dining (ppl don't recommend one in dining) but we can't have one in the living. Would it look and feel weird if we had a fan in formal living, pendant lighting in dining and down lights on living considering it is all so open and close to each other.
