Need help finding a counter stool
I have just bought a new house. For nearly every necessary piece of furniture that I need, I've found something that I love. However, I haven't been able to find any counter stools! I have attached a photo of some that I really liked from Vincent Design Supply, but for only 2 it was going to be over $1000, so a little over budget. Can anyone recommend any bar stools that would look good in the space? The attached photo is what it looked like during sales. I would prefer something black and backless.

Comments (2)Well done on your bathroom floor tiles. If your after the 'Hampton' look then you need to go with white cabinetry with marble tops. White will open up your kitchen area. If you decide to put in an island bench then you could go for a navy or black under bench cabinetry for a little contrast but white will never outdate. Comments (16)Hi Lil, I believe your original plan works much better than the revised version. While the notion of ideal working widths is great, the larger problem here is the post. I worked on a project very similar to this last year where a post could either be connect to, or separate from the island. What we found was that by separating the island the space between island and post became very awkward. It's not enough of a space to comfortably walk through or be seated at the island in front of. Instead of your room feeling open and generous in proportion, it is going to start to feel cramped and awkward. We have a kitchen in our showroom (Kitchen Studio Tauranga NZ) with a 6ft gap between bench and back wall and it works wonderfully. It allows someone to work at the sink and a second at the island with ease. Stick with the original plan. 8 years agoHi Sian, I found these online at Milia, love a stool that does not have wide base legs that stick out and take up valuable space (and try and trip people!!) but I live in a small unit. The last one is my fave but sorry for the blurry. From my experience these shaped stool seats are generally the most comfortable. Hope this helps
I am choosing these for my new tiny kitchen in one bed unit because VERY comfortable and fit under bench with no legs sticking out
