HELP !! How do I furnish this Lounge Room

Please give me ideas on how to arrange furniture into this space.
There are so many window/door/openings in this room making it difficult to know where to begin.
our main source of heating for winter will be wood. (we have back up reverse cycle) the current wood heater is old and we will probably replace. Our house is in the country so lovely views of our property from windows. Rough plan attached.

Hello,

Remember that furniture doesn't need to be against the walls. I would think about creating different zones. Cut out some pieces of paper to scale and move them around.

Think carefully about where you want the tv to go. Perhaps it could sit near the fireplace unless you want to see the view - if there is space have two seating zones and smaller settings for both areas.

My two cents worth: consider getting a corner sofa. Search Houzz for corner sofa photos - they can look good from all angles and away from walls/window. Perhaps corner sofa could face both the view out the east-facing window and towards the long 3.2metre wall. Then you could install a full height wall of storage (with TV) on this wall - bookshelves, display etc.

I would have two sofa's, one where the single arm chair is, I would bring the other sofa towards the fireplace /TV and place a sofa table behind it, a single arm chair could go between the kitchen and TV, loving that big Island cheers

Hi Anna, Definitely could tie in the piano with the ‘pink ‘ theme, you could throw a fur over seat or add a luxe stool to blend in piano with your new look, a large floor rug could tie your furniture placement or no rug at all , love the couch and chair in this photo, a chaise with a feature chair could look gorgeous also adding a little bit of metallic to the room would look beautiful like that coffee table with the blush chairs...gorgeous

I'd ask the question from the opposite point of view . What will closing the lounge off achieve ? It may make it look dark , it may make it look pokey , you have Bed 5 the other side of the entry , and although that presumably won't be used much , I'd actually be more inclined to try and hide that door . If you are worried about a steady stream of people heading to the stairs or kitchen , disrupting the people in the lounge , then why would you put the lounge there in the first place ? Enjoy the space , or move the lounge would be my obvious observation .

I would use a room divider to block entrance to room . It will also serve as a wall so you can place furniture against it and gives you storage. Your room is quite long. Ie. it will square your room up a bit .

you could also build a fake wall to part block the entrance ..that way you can hang your TV there
