Hi Deco Everything that I have collected part from the dining set which was an investment has been from garage sales. So I am quite happy to part with everything... I think the most expensive was $10.00. My problem is that I cant focus because you are right. I just have too much going on in different styles. Going with the style of the dining table - where do you think I should head with rug choices from everything I am reading - it says I should zone out the room?? I am staying away from leather couches and heading towards a cotton fabric. I really just want the space to be comfortable. Thanks for the tip about the ideabook. I've been collecting here and then, but mainly watching how people solve their dilemmas. I look but don't comment much.

As mentioned, possibly a darker pink or even a sage green for the rug. Two of these, stressless chairs, one either side of the bay window they are totally comfortable, not cheap, friends have them for reading and tv watching, in that position, they usually only watch tv at night, and love to read in natural light. They would certainly go with you to the next house and will fit in anywhere. Put the tv opposite, with the ottoman off centre. Small retro table in between chairs. Move the big pictures currently on the tv wall to either side of the fireplace. Heaps of carpet lying space. Rug once you have finalised the furniture locations and colours nip out and get a thin silk/wool oriental kilim Easy to take with you.

How many people are ever in the waiting room at the same time? This would have some bearing on whether more seating is required. I still think a love seat would be cramped even without the file cabinet, since there is what looks like a sink and washing machine on the wall opposite the chairs. ?? Having said that, with file cabinet gone, one chair could be in corner with other chair under window (with plants in raised stand next to) and side table between. Then there would be room for a small 2-seater or additional chairs. I would also swap out the black cushion covers for a grey or off-white (removable covers so they can Ben washed) as the black ones disappear on the chairs. flat rug and one with low pile and easy to vacuum or clean.
