Hi all. Thanks so much for the feedback! Both options above are better than what we have. To answer the questions, this is our main bathroom. We have an ensuite and a powder room so we don't need to separate the toilet. We could move the door but only along the current wall. The reason there's a step in that wall is we have a cupboard on the other side of the wall we'd prefer to keep but we'd probably sacrifice it if it helped.Yeah I agree a shower bath would solve all our problems but wanted to stay away from that. There's also a window on the back wall over where we had shown the bath. It's a narrow high level window. 1900mm to bottom of window. It runs the length of that wall. Thanks again for your help!

I don’t like layout as wasted space near window and don’t like shower near door cos of wet floor. Depending what you like and don’t maybe put loo under window backing up to other bedroom wall and swap shower and bath

Well since you asked it lacks any design flair. It is quite a well sized room but has issues. It seems strange to me that with such a good size you are limited to a semi-recessed basin and a narrow vanity which is more appropriate in an apartment bathroom rather than a functional family bathroom. On opening the door the first thing that you see is the side of the toilet - I try and design toilets to be in a more discreet location. It looks like there is a full height wall adjacent to the end of the bath which divides up the room into two pokey spaces. There is isn't a lot of convenient towel rail space for a family bathroom. It looks like everything has been plonked down without much thought. Seems like a lot of wasted space and wasted opportunity for something that could be much nicer and much more functional if you had a bit more design thinking... Yes thank you for your thoughts. the room is 2.8 (with window) vs 3.4m. I do find it a bit annoying too as I don't like that you open the door and see straight away into the shower (though I'm certain the door would have a lock). I'm sure they lined the bath up to be with the window as visually that looks better, but then I find the space at the end annoying. I like the alternative drawings (I like three of them lots!) and I had been considering an drop in bath built wall to wall rather than a freestanding but also finding it frustrating to find a really nice supportive bath and there are less drop in baths than freestanding around at the moment which is a bit annoying. Thanks Anna for the picture, that helps as that looks good (though we would have more space at either end, 50cm) and I prefer the look of yours with some space but not as cavenous... I think I might have to have a talk with my husband as we really need to work out what to do!!
