Layout for small bathroom
Comments (16)Unless you particularly like to lounge in a bath you could do what we are doing: ( In construction now ) -shower for grown ups of all ages stays where it is -next to it under the window we have a 1205 bath so we can bathe the little ones. (without causing a drought) -A slide cavity door leaves much more space. -the vanity could have been 1200 but we have decided to keep to 900 which we think will be ample enough. This leaves a space between the vanity and the bath. bathroom size 2150x 2150....See MoreWhere to put powerpoint in my small bathroom?
Comments (10)I have a power point on the wall above the vanity and between it and the bath but I don't plan to have anything plugged in permanently or ready to use even though I could, as I have a hob at the end of the bath which is over 700mm wide so the bath water is quite a distance from the powerpoint. There appeared to be no issues with putting it where I did but to my knowledge plenty of bathrooms have a powerpoint beside the vanity but based on your layout, I would at least put it on the shower side assuming you have a screen there....See MoreHelp for small square bathroom design
Comments (28)The latest update! The demolition work commences on Monday. My budget has now blown out to about $14K,including everything however I think it's going to look great. My plumber and tiler are great tradesmen, and I am going to get quality fittings (on clearance from Tradelink!). My vanity does have drawers, however I had to make the compromise due to the cost and time for it to travel to WA. I have also increased the size of the shower to 900wide and the shower screen is 1160 as I am not getting it custom made (and saving $1100 in the process). The plumber has said as I need to remove and replace some of the walls, he can do an inset in the shower for shampoo/conditioner etc.and in inset/step at the bottom for shaving legs. Can anyone recommend if I should do it, and if so, what size the inset should be and how high it should be from the ground? Any advice is appreciated!...See MoreHelp please with 2 small bathroom layouts
Comments (18)I have decided that it is a bit extravagant for me to have two bathrooms in my little house based on the small amount of times the second bathroom will be used. I am still wanting to have a laundry cupboard that has the washing machine and dryer in it (and maybe some storage or bench space for sorting????), but where the top bathroom was, I am just going to have a walk in robe off the bedroom to the right. It will have a cavity sliding door into the walk in robe. The walls go to 2700mm. To enable the shower to have a width of 900mm in the lower bathroom, the doorway is now going to be moved so that the entry to the bathroom is via a door to the far right. The toilet will now be in between the shower and vanity, so that the toilet isnt the first thing you see when you walk into the bathroom. Can anyone see any issues with the changed design, and can you suggest how to design the walk in robe and the laundry cupboard to maximise storage and function. Should I now make the the bathroom deeper and the walk in robe narrower? Should I make the laundry cupboard wider? PS. If I ever buy another house, it will be one that has already been renovated.....I am not made for design decisions. Thanks in advance for your help....See Morepjbleus
