Re formulas for what to paint each section, I remember that in Bunnings and especially serious paint shops there are brochures and sometimes computer aided planners for repainting Period Homes, and yes there are rules. Good luck, at the moment the building looks quite stiff with the stark colours of just blue and white, so a well selected colour palette of period pastels will make all the difference. After that put a "beauty tree" in the middle of the lawn and sit back an enjoy your house.

Honestly, go to your local paint shop. Most brand paints have a colour consultant that will come out to your house for about $180 and give you the best advise on paint colours. Then if you purchase that brand paint, the amount spent on consultant is deducted from your paint purchase. I had Dulux consultant come out. Best money well spent. Go to your local paint shop and inquire. They also do interior paint suggestions. Can't go wrong. You'll regret trying to blast it off. good luck.
