Help! Second thoughts on bathroom layout

Houzers have been so helpful in the past. I'd love some help with our bathroom layout. Could it be better?
The size of the room and the door position must remain as they are. And we want keep the three sinks, some will say its ridiculous, but hubby and I have talked about doing it for a very very long time.
On the other side of the north wall there will be a pool. I like the layout as it is but I feel it's a wasted opportunity not to put a frosted glass door in the north wall for pool users. But then how do I fit three sinks, a toilet and shower around it. I'm all out of ideas. I blame the Christmas festivities... I'm worn out!

Comments (32)rhyzar perhaps send through a larger floor plan please so this all can be understood/analysed in context? how far along is the project? Good ideas here however it's assuming capacity for changing/taking over passage/access to what appears to be leading down another passage at the top of the page? Or am I missing something? Another way to do this without completely taking over passage space is to flip the powder over to the external wall which would enable natural light into it. I'd also vote for a double basin set-up. Comments (5)Yes thank you for your thoughts. the room is 2.8 (with window) vs 3.4m. I do find it a bit annoying too as I don't like that you open the door and see straight away into the shower (though I'm certain the door would have a lock). I'm sure they lined the bath up to be with the window as visually that looks better, but then I find the space at the end annoying. I like the alternative drawings (I like three of them lots!) and I had been considering an drop in bath built wall to wall rather than a freestanding but also finding it frustrating to find a really nice supportive bath and there are less drop in baths than freestanding around at the moment which is a bit annoying. Thanks Anna for the picture, that helps as that looks good (though we would have more space at either end, 50cm) and I prefer the look of yours with some space but not as cavenous... I think I might have to have a talk with my husband as we really need to work out what to do!!...See Moremain bathroom layout help!

Comments (19)We intend to use the current study as a fifth / guest bedroom and study (hence wanting an updated bathroom downstairs too). We do have guests stay quite often (older step kids etc.) Some good ideas to think about, appreciate the feedback...See Moreannb1997

7 years agoIt's the main bathroom for our daughters, we have an ensuite and a powder room too.
Sketching like crazy here... Thank you for your ideas, it's giving me some much needed inspiration!
Not fond of the 900x900 shower, but not too bad.

7 years agoYou have a large space to work with, I personally like the options that divide the space for further privacy. I think with a bit more finesse you'd probably get a tub in there to.
PS - I haven't drawn in windows on purpose, but you would end up with glass external door, and maybe a long narrow window over the basin/shower. I'm also wondering if the middle door is required (or cavity slider here, shouldn't be moisture affected this far away).
