Fixed shower screens, does too much water spash out or not?
Comments (14)Or if budget allows, why not have both an overhead shower rose from the ceiling and a wall mounted handheld shower head. Hubby prefers overhead shower (and I think most guys do as they don't really care if their hair gets wet) but I don't wash my hair everyday and wanted a wall mounted handheld one, so as we couldn't agree we settled for both with a diverter mixer tap. P.S. the ceiling shower rose we got can be slightly tilted and I think most of them do so you can have it at a bit of an angle. P.P.S. if you can't get both then I would go with a wall mounted handheld shower head as it will be much easier to clean the shower area, can't imagine the practicality of cleaning with an overhead... good luck! :)...See MoreWhat colour do I paint my concrete pavers in the driveway?
Comments (20)there are way too many colours going on here. Your home is a traditional style and yes the cream and green are traditional colours with the reddish brick however why did you put grey around the windows??also you have red scollops above the grey and it doesn't do the house justice. What colour was there before you painted the grey?? considering grey is a more modern colour I think you were attempting to modernise the externals. in saying that the roof would have been better to paint charcoal the cream in white and then the grey and then the driveway would be done in a grey stain. but if you leave it the way it is and cover the red scolloping above the windows the same grey and the bricks below the windows near the ground grey as well then get the drive way restained to the reddish colour of the bricks on the house and then it would blend more and look inviting....See MoreWill black cabinetry be too much?
Comments (12)Thanks all. The kitchen has a window above the sink and a 4.5m stacker door adjacent so the black should be ok. Have decided to go with the black - for back run lower cabinetry and adjacent oven tower Island to be 20mm Cloudburst concrete with white under. . Remaining decisions: Waterfall to one end of island or all just overhang? rear benchtop will be Dekton (porcelain) - black OR a lighter/grey which ties in with the cloudburst??? Decisions, decisions,..........See MoreToo much concrete!
Comments (6)i think you may be pleasantly surprised how cheap quick and easy painting can be for concrete ...modern paints are so much better and properly prepared can last for many years and painted concrete would be very much in style with the original house and even a concrete colour paint will freshen up the look of the driveway and front verandah ...why not test paint a small section to see how it looks against the bricks ... another idea is to swop the porch fence for a porch roof, add a dark brick (matching the window sills) border around all the plain concrete after cleaning and add some big new shrubs and deeper garden beds around the front lawn to create a lush new front garden to create a view from inside...See MoreF B
