A couple of points to add with regard to the functionality side of things: Grey tiles, means grey grout which will be infinitely easier to maintain, every home that has cream or white floor tiles will ultimately end up with dirty grout lines, no matter how well you look after the floor. Grey tiles also hide dirt/hair etc better than light coloured tiles. From a design perspective, as long as you choose a tile that is quite simple and elegant, grey is almost always in style. Matching things to this colour palette is not so difficult, maybe stay away from microfiber chocolate couches though!

hey everyone we have finally moved and we got the sofa bed. It is fantastic. I'm still unpacking boxes and trying to sort through things but I think the layout works as I can enjoy views out to my yard while Hudson plays. Thanks again for your advice and help.

Just get the grout and glass sealed at the end and all will be perfect. You will only need to seal the shower area. From memory I think I used a company called endurosheild? There are a couple of shades of white tiles, worth matching your dark tile and vanity to get the right shade but that's easier because the tile shop will help you. Will still look white, just not too white. I'm using black button tiles as a backsplash for the vanity so I also needed to use a slightly tinted white.

Hi Donna. I’m asking myself that same question; trying to work out if it will really matter, and if I do decide to paint the outside, where do I stop? And will I be creating a maintenance nightmare in years to come. It’s not immediately obvious that the internal and external parts are different colours. I notice. Others don’t. You can see the diff when you’re at an angle, but you have to be looking for it. And who stares at your window frames? People are usually looking outside, beyond the frame. Excuse the mess and half finished paint job, but these pics may give you an idea of what to expect. It’s more obvious on the sliding door, but only when close up and from an acute angle. This will look dramatically better when I finish painting the door frame.
