Try a mid-century modern rug like Hemphill's Rex Ray Area Rug Collection or Jaipur Traverse Caracas. I looked up 'mid-century modern rug' and chanced upon these on Houzz. I like the muted colours which would soften the cream on brown. The mid-century motifs would highlight the mid-century chair. Good luck!

Hi there, I think it's a great idea to introduce some feature lighting here. The chairs are making quite a statement against all the white and it would be lovely to balance that a little with lighting. As you have a lot of white and also rectilinear shapes, I'd lean towards organic shapes and materials for your lights. You could consider having more than one pendant light and create either a cluster, a row of 3, or else a long light. Here's some ideas.

Is it your house Rebecca , or a photo you found ? If it is your place , but you are wanting to replace the window frames , I'd be inclined to ( whther you do it yourself or get a professional to do it ) strip off the white paint , and then stain it in a mid to dark brown stain -- I suspect you could do it without removing the glass . It would contrast nicely with the stonework ( interestingly , I've always known it as 'crazy paving' ) , take away some of that 70's look , and look more like an upmarket ski lodge !

Before you start with any treatment it is best to see what type of natural stone you have, there many of them and each natural stone has its own specs. The following are general maintenance tips: - Seal your surfaces, you can use whatever brand as long as you follow the manufacturers instruction. - Do not wipe a spill, dab/blot on the area and then clean with a non acid based cleaner or just plain water. - There are two popular types of Sealers, water based and oil based. Both are great, however the oil based has a stronger smell. - Non of the current sealers in the market Guaranty no wine staining. so if you have a natural stone or getting it, try to clean wine spills and other staining food products immediately. - We recommend that you keep a stain stop cleaner (Lithofin is the most popular) at home and use it to wipe the surface once cleaned, just to keep the surface sealed.
